Val Smart

Val has been a Bernicia tenant for over 10 years and joined the committee when it was formed over two years ago having been an involved tenant and attended various groups over a number of years.

Val’s areas of interest include Rural Development of housing & employment, also tenants receiving good service & value for money plus being treated fairly and with respect.

She is involved with Stage 3 complaints determinations, performance reports, Bernicia’s policy’s and government guidelines, and a member of the Check & Challenge group, various working groups, plus feedback involvement.

My priorities include continuing helping promote tenants interests, also the ease of which they can communicate & feel listened to by the organisation.
