Scammers are ruthless and anyone can fall for their tricks. Know what to look for and how to avoid them.

Scammers are ruthless and anyone can fall for their tricks. If know what to look out for, you’re less likely to be taken in.

  • Do not pass your bank account details to anyone over the phone.
  • Beware of people who claim that you have won money, it is likely to be a scam.
  • Never send anything without being sure of its destination.
  • If it sounds too good to be true, then it often is.

You can opt out of receiving unsolicited calls by contacting the Telephone Preference Service on 0845 070 0707.

If you are a victim of a scam you should report it straight away.
