Jenny Allinson

Jenny is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Housing with over 25 years experience in the housing sector.

Jenny joined Bernicia as Director of Corporate Governance in May 2021 following success at driving regulatory compliance and designing governance frameworks in a large national housing association. in December 2025, Jenny took up the role of Executive Director of Communities.

Having started her career working directly with tenants and communities, Jenny is passionate about constantly improving governance arrangements to ensure that they reflect and are accountable to the customers and communities that they serve and support a dynamic operating environment.

Jenny acts as advisor on all corporate governance matters and keeps pace with change to ensure compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.  Jenny oversees our Housing departments and the financial and social inclusion work that forms part of Bernicia’s approach to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Jenny is also the lead Director for the Bernicia Foundation.
