Andrea Malcolm

Andrea was appointed as Deputy Group Chief Executive in June 2024, having held the position of Executive Director, People Homes and Communities since January 2020.

She has held several senior positions in housing management, human resources, and organisational development, contributing significantly to the success of Bernicia during periods of substantial business growth, transition, and transformation.

Andrea retains responsibility for the delivery of housing services, exercising her passion for tenant engagement, she ensures tenants remain central to decision making, so that services are designed and delivered to meet the diverse needs of households and communities.

Andrea is the officer responsible for compliance with Regulatory Consumer Standards.

Recognising that our people are central to Bernicia’s success, Andrea is also responsible for ensuring programmes and processes are in place to recruit, support, develop and retain staff to deliver services consistent with our Bernicia Way values.
