Bernicia’s Chief Executive John Johnston has welcomed our top rating by the Regulator of Social Housing – with Bernicia looking ahead with confidence to unveiling our new corporate strategy in spring, setting out our ambitious strategic plans over the next four years.
The Regulator of Social Housing has revealed its latest regulatory judgements, showing how housing associations are performing in meeting its standards.
“I’m delighted that Bernicia has retained its Regulatory G1 V1 rating, the highest possible rating for Governance and Financial Viability,” said John.
“This is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at Bernicia.
“I look forward to finalising our new corporate strategy which we will share with stakeholders in the spring.
“This will clearly set out how, over the next four years, Bernicia will deliver even more new homes, work with our tenants and customers to develop and deliver services that respond to their needs and how we will be doing our bit to help the communities of the North East recover from the impacts of the pandemic.
“As well as investing in new and existing homes, and delivering exceptional services, we will support communities by providing significant additional resources to help people into employment through building aspiration, increasing confidence, providing training, skills and job opportunities.”
