We received reports earlier this afternoon (Saturday) of a fire at a block of flats within our housing development at Sinclair Meadows in South Shields.
We are pleased to say there are no reported injuries to residents and we would like to thank the fire service whose quick response and professionalism brought the fire quickly under control.
Bernicia staff responded immediately and were on site to support our tenants.
We will ensure our residents continue to be supported and will carry out the necessary property repairs as quickly as possible.
