Bernicia tenancy agreements allows for tenants to be recharged for damage that occurs to properties as a result of wilful actions or out of neglect. This policy ensures the efficient and effective management of the company’s housing stock, providing well-maintained houses for all tenants and ensure that expenditure is managed effectively.
This policy sets out Bernicia’s approach to delivering a tenant focused repairs and maintenance service that offers value for money and fulfils our statutory obligations. It covers responsive repairs, cyclical and planned maintenance.
This policy sets out our approach to the recovery of service charge arrears. It applies to all Bernicia leasehold or freehold properties with services, which have been purchased through the Right to Buy, Right to Acquire or were previously Shared Ownership and staircased to 100%.
