Damp, condensation and mould
We take problems with damp, condensation and mould very seriously. These issues can affect your health and your home.
If you spot any signs of damp and/or mould, please tell us as soon as you notice a problem so we can put it right quickly.

When you call us about damp or mould, we will ask you some questions. This helps us understand:
- How bad the damp or mould is
- If anyone in your home has health problems
- If anyone in your home needs extra support (like young children, elderly people, or anyone with breathing problems)
Based on your answers, we will decide how urgently we need to visit you.
What to look for
You should report it straight away if you see:
- Black spots or mould on walls, ceilings or windows
- Damp or wet patches on walls or paint
- Peeling wallpaper or flaking paint
- A musty or damp smell in your home
The sooner you tell us, the faster we can fix it.

How to keep your home free from damp, condensation and mould
You can help reduce condensation by:
- Using extractor fans or opening windows when cooking or bathing
- Wiping away moisture on windows or tiles
- Leaving space between furniture and walls
- Drying clothes outdoors if possible
