The Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements, known as STAIRs, give social housing tenants clearer and easier access to information about their landlord and the services they receive.
What information can I access?
You can access information about areas including:
- how we are governed and make decisions
- how we spend money
- how we manage and maintain homes
- how our services are performing
- housing services, policies and tenant safety
- how we listen to tenants and respond to complaints
We are reviewing the information we already publish and will continue to add links to make it clear and easy to find.
Where can I find the information?
Visit the STAIRs information we publish webpage to see what information is available and follow links to relevant pages and documents.
What if I think information is missing?
We want the information we publish under STAIRs to be clear and complete. If you believe information is missing that we are required to publish, you can ask us to review this.
The webpage explains how to request a review and what will happen next. We will respond to a review request within 30 calendar days. If you remain unhappy with our response, you can ask the Housing Ombudsman to consider the matter.
What is the next phase of STAIRs and when does it happen?
The next phase of STAIRs begins in April 2027
From then, tenants and their authorised representatives will be able to request information directly about the management of their homes and housing services. We will share more information closer to the time.
As STAIRs develops, we will explain what is changing, what it means for you and how to access the information you need.
