Electrical team passes national test

It means our electrical department again meets national Government approved standards of competency in all electrical work – from safety to on-site quality of work.

NAPIT is the Government approved body that confirms the competence of members to carry out electrical work in the UK.

A tough examination of our working practices by an assessor for our group electrical qualifying surveyor Ian (right), while multi-skilled electrician Darren showed examples of the work the team has completed.

The assessment was divided into two half days covering all aspects of electrical work – safety, training, insurances, monitoring and inspection regimes to on-site quality of work, certification and individual competency.

It’s a key assessment for Bernicia to pass – NAPIT confirming the high quality of electrical work we deliver for tenants and the excellent controls we have in place to do so.
