We’re among the latest social housing organisations to sign up to support the development of HACT’s social value roadmap.
The social value roadmap was launched in September 2020. It was developed by the UK Social Value in Housing Taskforce, comprising 17 organisations including leading social housing organisations, the Regulator for Social Housing and experts in social value.
Andrea Malcolm, Executive Director of People, Homes and Communities at Bernicia, said:
“We’re committed to helping our tenants and communities. We want to make sure we focus our efforts and resources in the areas where they can be of most benefit. That’s why we’re excited to be working with HACT to develop the Social Value Bank. The insights this will bring will help us to better plan our corporate social activities and understand the impact they have.
“Sharing ideas and experiences with other organisations on the Roadmap programme can only help us in our drive to develop better services and have a positive impact on the communities we serve.”
Terry Spillard, Assistant Director of Customers at Golding Homes said:
“We’re pleased to announce our involvement with HACT who are providing us with the opportunity to shape and deliver the different elements within the social value roadmap, along with other partners through a series of working group meetings. This comes at a crucial time for Golding Homes as part of reviewing their community investment strategy in 2021.”
Will Walker, Director of Transformation at Citizen Housing, said:
“Our social purpose is integral to our work and being part of a group of organisations which will shape an approach to measuring social value is a great opportunity for us. We look forward to working with HACT and partners to drive forward this important agenda.”
The roadmap will enable the social housing sector to use social value information to improve services, enhance decision-making and increase the impact we make.
