Location:                    Bernicia Head Office, Ashwood Business Park, Ashington.

Salary:                        £28,680 per annum with the potential to increase in April 2026 in line with a cost-of-living award.

Hours:                        37 hours per week Monday to Friday or part time hours will be considered

About the People Services Coordinator Role:

Reporting to the People Services Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to coordinate and monitor key HR projects and initiatives, such as developing a robust workforce planning approach and the implementation of a new HR system. You’ll be part of our warm, supportive and dynamic People Team, supporting a range of coordination activities. You’ll help coordinate colleague events, including health and wellbeing and diversity and inclusion campaigns to ensure a positive working environment for our people. 

(Please note that this role does not include supporting managers and colleagues during formal procedures ie disciplinaries, absence management).

 

About you: 

Successful candidates will need:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a busy team – preferably HR related – in a similar role
  • Proven experience in project coordination across a variety of workstreams
  • A full driving licence and have use of a vehicle for work purposes
  • A proactive and can-do mindset, able to be decisive and take accountability
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision and to coordinate several projects at once
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, excel, powerpoint and teams
  • Be a role model for our values and behaviours
