Location:      Ashington / Durham

Contract:      Fixed Term – 3 Months. 

Hours:           Full Time – 37 per week.

Salary:           Up to £45,000 per annum.

About the role:

Joining our Regional and National award-winning finance team, the Management Accountant will support the Finance Reporting Team based at Bernicia’s Head Office in Ashington, with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

• Timely and quality preparation of management information for the Repairs & Maintenance function. This includes management accounts, budget variance analysis, budget profiling and reforecasting and financial regulatory returns. 
• Effective and efficient management of all of the Group’s accounting records in line with statutory obligations and current accounting requirements. 
• Provision of effective and efficient management information to the Group. 
• Ensuring excellent support services are delivered across all Group departments and external customers, including companies under the Group’s management.

About you:

You’ll need:

• A recognised professional accounting qualification or suitable experience.
• To be self-driven and motivated to succeed.
• Excellent skills relating to written and verbal communication, report writing, time management and problem solving.
• To be able to act as a key member of the Reporting Team, demonstrating leadership, ownership, responsibility, accountability, influence and commitment. 
• A customer focused and objective orientated approach.
