Housing Officer – Tenancy Management

Permanent Role.

Salary and car allowance - £33,469 per annum.

Full Time, 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday.

Based in Berwick.

As a Housing Officer in the Tenancy Management team you will have the ability to effectively adapt to change programmes and to deliver excellent services in a highly competitive environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of all aspects of housing management. We are looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills and are solution focussed.

As a Housing Officer you will deliver excellent, consistent and responsive housing management services, which include:

• Neighbourhood and tenancy management
• Anti-social behaviour
• Empty property management, customer viewings and welcome visits
• Income management
• Customer involvement, empowerment and inclusion
• Tenant liaison and support

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will:

• Contribute to overall sustainability of areas in Bernicia’s management.
• Ensure estate standards are maintained, liaising with internal and external partners to achieve this.
• Ensure ‘responsible person’ duties and responsibilities for Safeguarding adults and children are met.  
• Ensure compliance requirements are monitored and met.
• Be aware of legislation, codes of practice and good working practices relevant to all work activities and seek advice guidance and support where necessary in relation to these matters.

A full clean driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes are required.
