Janette Longstaff

Janette is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and became Executive Director, Finance in 2019, prior to which she was Bernicia’s Finance Director. Janette has responsibility for Finance, ICT, Risk and Assurance across the Group and has vast knowledge and experience gained from more than 20 years working in the sector.

Janette has supported Bernicia through periods of significant growth. Leading robust financial decision making, enabling long term viability, while ensuring our ambitious plans are efficiently funded into the future.

She has led teams through periods of major change, consolidation and innovation, achieving regional and national award recognition.

She is skilled and experienced across a range of sectors including manufacturing, commercial and service sectors, where she has held a number of senior finance positions.

Janette is the Chair of the National Housing Federation North East Finance Practitioners Group.
