Bernicia is launching a new employment programme aimed at giving people the new skills they need get a job in the customer contact centre sector – with a guaranteed job interview for those completing the course.
Working in partnership with The Launch Group, Bernicia’s employment team is running the programme to help people overcome barriers and gain access to work.
The programme aims to give people skills and insight into:
- customer services
- CV building
- interview techniques
Centred around working in a contact centre, the skills learned are essential for work in retail, hospitality and other customer facing roles. The programme will be delivered both online and in person from Monday November 14th, and will also provide a guaranteed interview upon completion.
Those completing the course will gain nationally recognised qualifications:
- Level 2 Certificate in Contact Centre Operations
- Level 2 Award in Customer Service
- Level 2 Award in Conflict Management
Previous programmes have resulted in 76% of participants gaining employment.
The programme is part of a £2m investment from Bernicia to increase the skills and aspirations of those furthest away from the job market, helping them overcome potential barriers preventing them from returning to employment.
