Corporate Social Responsibility

We're more than just a landlord. As a social organisation and anchor institution, we have a strong commitment to supporting people, communities and the environment.

Community Investment

Whether it’s encouraging people to seek and access good jobs, or helping local groups to tackle loneliness and isolation, our Community Investment activities help people and communities to thrive.  We’re very active across the region, organising events and projects, many of which are delivered in partnership with our contractors other anchor agencies.

Environment

We’re committed to achieving our net zero goals and helping our tenants to live more sustainably. Our affordable warmth and fuel poverty programmes reduce energy use and cost for our tenants.

Our approach includes using more sustainable products, minimising and recycling waste,  and engaging people in activities. Meanwhile, our strategy focuses on a range of actions to reduced our impact on the local environment.

Community Investment Strategy 2025-2026

Our Community Investment Strategy (CIS) activities for the past year have been delivered against a backdrop of ongoing cost of living challenges. The commitment and enthusiasm of our teams has ensured that residents also receive services beyond our provision of quality affordable homes. Find out more in our Impact and Outcomes Report 2025-2026.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Framework connects our plans for community investment, housing services, equity, diversity and inclusion, environmental management, people and procurement. Together they set out how, across the many areas of our business, we support people, communities and the environment.
