Alison Armstrong

Alison Armstrong is a member of the Customer Services Committee and brings both professional expertise and personal insight to the role. As an advocate for her son, who is a Bernicia tenant and lives with a disability, Alison provides an important perspective on the experiences and needs of tenants who may otherwise have limited representation.

Recently retired after a successful career in nursing, Alison held a number of senior management positions and developed extensive experience in leadership, governance, service quality, and customer-focused decision-making. Her professional background has given her a strong understanding of confidentiality, the effective use of data, and the importance of collaborative working.

Combining her lived experience as an advocate with her extensive professional knowledge, Alison plays a valuable role in supporting the Committee’s work to improve services and ensure customers’ voices are heard.
