Health and Safety Adviser

We have a new opportunity for a Health and Safety Adviser to join us….

  • Full Time, 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Salary:  Up to £28,977 per annum plus car allowance dependant on experience and qualifications
  • Location – Ashington (base office) with agile working across all of Bernicia’s offices and geographical operational areas inclusive of the ability to work from home.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to contribute to the development and management of all aspects of health and safety across Bernicia.  We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about health and safety and can make a real difference to the environment of our colleagues, customers and contractors.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a full range of health and safety duties under direction from the Head of Health and Safety.  Experience in auditing construction sites, undertaking CoSHH and HAVS risk assessments would be advantageous.  An inquisitive and logical mind set is key.

You must have up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and be able to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development. 

To be considered for this role you must have a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and hold or be working towards your NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.  A NEBOSH Construction Certificate would be advantageous.  If you would like to be part of a team that makes a difference, we would like to hear from you.
