Confident, proud and passionate people drive our success and we’re building Bernicia to be a business people want to be part of. We’ve already got an enviable reputation as one of the North East’s largest and most successful housing providers; building, renting, selling and managing homes as well as providing specialist care and support services to over 60,000 customers.
Are you interested in a career with an organisation committed to making a difference to customers, tenants and communities? Are you passionate about delivering frontline housing management and looking for a new challenge? Then you may be interested in our latest vacancies.
This is an exciting time to join our Housing Services teams as we introduce a new housing system, helping us to develop our services to meet the needs of the business and our customers.
As Bellingham House’s Warden you will coordinate retirement housing services for the scheme, including monitoring the wellbeing of residents via daily calls and responding to an alarm system to provide assistance in times of emergency or illness. You will organise social activities for tenants, alongside other essential duties such as supervising cleaning, reporting repairs and testing fire alarms and emergency lighting systems.
The successful candidate will have a natural rapport with people, making them feel respected, looked after and at ease, as well as demonstrating a passion for working with older persons, supported by experience in a similar role.
A full job description for the role can be found in the links on the right.
