Vacancy: Director of Corporate Governance

The Director of Governance is an important role for Bernicia, and this is a rare opportunity to join the business at Director level.

 

Salary £79,534 and car allowance £5,859

Defined Benefit pension scheme (career average 1/80th) and 28 days annual leave, plus 8 statutory bank holidays

Ashington, Newcastle, Durham offices, with flexible / home working options

In the role, you would be the advisor to the CEO on all issues relating to corporate governance and you will support the development and regular review of the Corporate Strategy and Business plan.

You will be lead officer for the Bernicia’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and their Charitable Foundation and ultimately take on the responsibilities of the Company Secretary.

You will have a strong record of demonstrable achievement within Corporate Governance, gained at a senior level in an organisation of comparable size and complexity.  We will consider applications from suitably qualified people from all industry sectors.

Whatever your background you will need to be comfortable working within a community centric organisation.  You will be enthusiastic about the prospect of using your experience to help deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to give confidence to and influence a wide range of people both across and beyond the organisation.
